Guests Say Yes: RSVP Card Inspiration

Mailing your invitations and waiting for those guest RSVPs are some of the most exciting parts of wedding planning. Your big day is right around the corner! You’re dreaming of plenty of happy YES! replies while getting so excited for one of the happiest days of your life.

Before you get those invites out, it’s important to discuss with your wedding invitation designer how you would like to collect guests’ replies to the wedding. You can send out a stamped RSVP card with the invitations, or add a Details card to your invitation suite with instructions for guests to RSVP via wedding website.

With printed RSVP cards, you have some creative freedom to set the tone for the wedding. We encourage all couples to have some general language to collect information - including spaces for guest names, how many guests are attending, deadline to respond and meal choices, if applicable. Some couples use graphics of “food” for a rustic feel, while others list out the choices of dinner.

If you are having any other events throughout your wedding weekend that you’d like to invite your guests to, you can add spaces for guests to RSVP to those events somewhere on the reply card.

Sometimes, guests forget to write their own names on the reply cards - they are so excited to say yes! Here at Art Paper Scissors, we offer blacklight pen services so you can number the back of each RSVP card, and your guests won’t be able to see. This will help you stay organized.

Collecting this important information doesn’t have to be stuffy! Add fun ways to reply, with cheeky humor, dance-related wording or even simply, “Can’t wait to celebrate / Will be toasting from afar” to make your guests feel included in your big day.
