Arrows and Anchors - Nautical Wedding Invitation

Wow it’s been a long time since we blogged. The holidays sure do make some waves in the schedule! But we are back and we are back with one of our favorite recent invites! Kelli and Michael are set to get married at Mallard on 4th of July weekend at Mallard Island Yacht Club in LBI. The couple decided they wanted a nautical inspired wedding invite but with a little spin.

They chose a gray, pink, navy and a turquoise blue as their palette. Our most favorite part of the invites is a theme that is carried throughout the invitation suite – arrow designs and prints. The theme is introduced with the soft gray arrow geometric pattern printed on the enclosure. Tied around it is a hemp ribbon and finished with a silver anchor charm.

The invite was designed to slide into the pocket enclosure and easily pulled out from a thumb tab cut out at the top. Once pulled out, the invite was framed with a soft pink border with a mix of bold and whimsical type treatment. The dotted borders between text and the heart and arrow at the top, adds a little sweet romance to the invite don’t you think?

On the back of the enclosure was a quote that was very special to the couple: “Where you go, I’ll go. Where you stay, I’ll stay”. Tucked behind the hemp ribbon was the details booklet with their monogram “K&M” and their wedding date inscribed on the front. We love the anchor in place of the ampersand sign!

The booklet had three panels: “I’m Lost” for the directions and “I’m Tired” for the accommodations details and a tear off RSVP card. To continue the arrow theme, the card is adorned with the ends of arrows on either side of the RSVP.

We just love these invites and loved working with Kelli and Michael. We wish you happy planning! Enjoy every minute of the process because July will be here before you know it!
