Cape Cod Nautical Invitations

Spending summers at the Cape has long been a tradition for most North Englanders. If you live in a seasonal climate, then you know firsthand that there is nothing quite like exchanging your winter coats for flip flops and to a New Englander there is no better place to shed the winter wear then at the Cape. Aside from the Cape’s endless pristine beaches, superb seafood, its popularity is truly in part of its unmatched charm. Between the quaint downtowns, old lighthouses, B&Bs, family owned inns, it’s no wonder why it’s so popular and why it’s one of the top wedding destinations in the US. So when Brenda and Greg shared they were getting married on the Cape and wanted to capture its essence in their invitations, I was thrilled.

Brenda and Greg chose a crisp white single pocket enclosure with a color palette of gray, coral and white. The enclosure was closed with a square “Entering to the Cape” emblem; serving as a symbolic way of entering the Cape by opening the invitation.

The invitation was designed with a gray washed wood grain border and a nautical Granny Knot accenting the corners. The type is clean with pops of coral and with just a hint of a simple hand written font for a little elegance.

In the pocket was the “What You Need to Know” booklet printed with a gray toned map of the Cape and contained the directions, accommodations and the post wedding breakfast details. On top was the RSVP card with cute respond options: “Sea you at the Cape” and “Sorry, all tide up”.

Working on these invites certainly made me crave the warmth of beach weather! With Spring officially upon us – it’s only a matter of time!!

Brenda and Greg, thank you for allowing APS to design your invites. May your wedding day be everything you dreamed it to be! Sea you at the Cape! XOXO
